Two Welsh miners (Donald Houston & Meredith Edwards) win a competition and come to London to collect their prize – £100 each and a visit to the England v Wales rugby match at Twickenham. One goes on a pub crawl with an old friend (Hugh Griffith), the other falls in with a con-girl (Moira Lister). They spend the money and miss the match.
