Rare Film Posters

Original British 17 inch x 11 inch Trade Advertisement for the 1942 Vincent Sherman World War II Spy Thriller ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT, based on a story by Leonard Q. Ross & Leonard Spigelgass and starring Humphrey Bogart, Conrad Veidt, Kaaren Verne, Jane Darwell, Frank McHugh, Peter Lorre, Judith Anderson, Jackie Gleason, William Demarest, Phil Silvers and Sam McDaniel.

In this film, Humphrey Bogart plays Gloves Donahue, a rough-hewn but essentially decent New York gambler. The Runyonesque plot gets moving when Gloves tries to find out what’s holding up his favorite restaurant’s daily shipment of cheesecake. Paying a call on the bakery, Gloves stumbles into a Nazi spy ring.

Trade advertisements are colourful posters aimed at cinema managers, which were either slipped in, or part of, the weekly film trade journals which were available to them by subscription but were not sold to the general public. Most were designed to be pulled out, and some were attached by staples. Most have the date in tiny letters in one of the top corners.

The Advertisement is in very good condition with one vertical centre fold and staple holes along it.
