Extremely rare original British 12 1/2 inch x 20 inch Poster for the 1935 Howard Hawks Drama BARBARY COAST, with a screenplay by Ben Hecht & Charles MacArthur and starring Miriam Hopkins, Joel McCrea, Edward G. Robinson, Walter Brennan, Frank Craven, Brian Donlevy, Harry Carey and Donald Meek.
Mary Rutledge arrives from the east, finds her fiance dead, and goes to work at the roulette wheel of Louis Charnalis’ Bella Donna, a rowdy gambling house in San Francisco in the 1850s.
The poster was produced for theLondon Pavilion.
The poster is in very good unfolded (rolled) condition with a small tear in the bottom edge.
