Original British 11 inch x 14 inch Set of 8 Lobby Cards for the 1948 Marc Allegret Historical Drama BLANCHE FURY, based on the novel by Joseph Shearing and starring Valerie Hobson, Stewart Granger, Michael Gough, Walter Fitzgerald, Susanne Gibbs, Maurice Denham, Allan Jeayes, Edward Lexy, Amy Veness, Arthur Wontner and George Woodbridge.
With its labyrinthine plot, wanton cruelty and sweeping dramatic turns, Blanche Fury is a prime example of the Gothic melodrama at which Rank Studios excelled in the 1940s. But unlike many of those films, this one is unusual for being shot in Technicolor, and Swiss-born director Marc Allégret adds an eerie, unsettling atmosphere to the macabre proceedings.
The set is in very good condition.
