John Bainbridge was born in Sydney, Australia in 1918 and educated in Melbourne at the Swinbourne Art School and National Gallery School. He was appointed art director of the National Theatre of Melbourne in 1940. In 1945 he moved to England working as an exhibition designer, poster artist, documentary film maker, theatre set and costume designer. He was elected Fellow of the Society of Industrial Artists in 1959.
The Advertisement is in fair condition with a vertical centre fold and 4 worn staple holes along it. There is a hole upper left and small holes upper right where it looks like the pages were once slightly stuck together.
