Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1959 Georges Franju Horror Movie EYES WITHOUT A FACE (LES YEUX SANS VISAGE), based on the novel by Jean Redon and starring Pierre Brasseur, Alida Valli, Edith Scob, Francois Guerin, Juliette Mayniel, Beatrice Altariba, Alexandre Rignault, Rene Genin, Claude Brasseur and Michel Etcheverry.

At his secluded chateau in the French countryside, a brilliant, obsessive doctor (Pierre Brasseur) attempts a radical plastic surgery to restore the beauty of his daughter’s disfigured countenance—at a horrifying price.

Poster art by Jean Mascii. Mascii was one of the most prolific French film poster artists of the second half of the 20th century creating over 2,000. He was born in Italy in 1926 his family then settled in France in 1932. He began work designing cinema facades and designed his first film poster for La Dame D’Onze Heures starring Paul Meurisse in 1947. He died in Paris in 2003.

The poster is in very good condition and has been conservation paper-backed.
