Engraving by Ferdinand Joubert (1810 – 1884). Jean Ferdinand Joubert de la Ferté was a French engraver, photographer and inventor who developed new photographic techniques and engraved notable postage and revenue stamps of the United Kingdom and the Confederate States.
From a painting by Edward John Poynter (1836 – 1919). Sir Edward John Poynter, 1st Baronet, GCVO, PRA was an English painter, designer, and draughtsman who served as President of the Royal Academy.
