Original 1893 6 1/4 inch x 10 1/4 inch Etching titled FLAX-SPINNERS.
Etched by Albert Kruger (1858 – after 1906). Printmaker, especially etchings and designer of woodcuts, worked in Berlin. Specialised in colour woodcut reproductions after Old Master and contemporary paintings.
Painted by Max Liebermann (1847 – 1935). A German painter and printmaker who is known for his naturalistic studies of the life and labour of the poor. He was also the foremost proponent of Impressionism in Germany.
