”THE FOREMAN WENT TO FRANCE.”
France at the time of its capitulation provides the background for Michael Balcon’s new film, “The Foreman Went to France.” Based on a real-life incident, it tells the story of the foreman of an English factory who goes to France to rescue some machinery which is in danger of falling into Nazi hands. Genuine French refugees recreate the harrowing scenes on the French roads which contributed so much to the French military disaster and against which English people have been warned should invasion be attempted here.
The portrait is in good condition with the top and right borders trimmed off, masking lines around the face and slight edge creasing
