Vintage restrike 8 1/4 inch x 11 1/4 inch engraving titled FRIDERICUS HOFFMANNUS (FRIEDRICH HOFFMANN).
Portrait of Friedrich II Hoffmann, half-length, facing front, wearing wig and coat, stood at a table with his right hand resting on an open book; within an octagonal frame, upon a lettered plinth with coat of arms.
Friedrich Hoffmann (1660 – 1742) was a German physician and chemist.
Print by Johann Georg Wolfgang (1664 – 1744). German Engraver: Augsburg and Berlin.
After Antoine Pesne (1683 – 1757). Painter, spent most of his career as court painter to Frederick the Great.
