Original 10 inch x 8 inch Portrait of EILEEN MOORE in the 1954 Guy Hamilton Drama AN INSPECTOR CALLS, based on the novel by J.B. Priestley.

An upper crust family dinner is interrupted by a police inspector who brings news that a girl known to everyone present has died in suspicious circumstances. It seems that any or all of them could have had a hand in her death. But who is the mysterious Inspector and what can he want of them?

Portrait by Ted Reed. Reed started with London Film Productions, Denham in 1937 as a printer. Joined Gainsborough Pictures Ltd., Shepherd’s Bush in 1940 as a stills cameraman. Then back to London Film Productions at Shepperton in 1946. He went on to become stills photographer on several British films including: The Rake’s Progress (1945) ; The Wicked Lady (1945); The Fallen Idol (1948); The Winslow Boy (1948); Tunes of Glory (1960); The Innocents (1961); King and Country (1964); Accident (1967). Reed’s stamp is on the reverse of the portrait.

The portrait is in very good condition.
