Original British 20 inch x 30 inch Double Crown Poster for the 1974 Robert Bresson Drama LANCELOT OF THE LAKE (LANCELOT DU LAC) starring Luc Simon, Laura Duke Condominas, Humbert Balsan, Vladimir Antolek-Oresek, Patrick Bernhard, Arthur De Montalembert, Charles Balsan, Christian Schlumberger, Joseph-Patrick Le Quidre and Jean-Paul Leperlier.
Poster art by Raymond Savignac (1907 – 2002). A French graphic artist famous for his commercial posters which are distinguished by a humorous simplicity.
After their failed quest for the Holy Grail, the surviving Knights of the Round Table, led by Lancelot, return to Camelot haggard and despondent while rifts within the knighthood develop between Lancelot and Mordred.
The poster is in very good unfolded (rolled) condition.
