The poster art is by Brian Robb (1913 – 1979). Brian Robb was born in Scarborough, educated at Malvern College and studied at Chelsea School of Art from 1930, and at the Slade School of Fine Art from 1935. He went on to produce cartoons for Punch magazine, book illustrations and posters for Shell and London Transport.
