Joanna Godden (Googie Withers) is an ardent young woman, determined to be a farmer in her own right, but eventually succumbing to the love of a good neighbour Arthur Alce (John McCallum) and his masculine skills. This pre-Women’s Lib story was by a notable woman novelist.

The portrait is in very good condition with minor surface marks
