Vintage restrike 7 1/2 inch x 10 1/4 inch engraving titled MARCELLUS MALPIGHIUS.
Marcello Malpighi (1628-1694): Pioneer of microscopic anatomy and exponent of the scientific revolution of the 17 Century.
Engraving by Jan Kip (1652/3 – 1722). Johannes “Jan” Kip was a Dutch draughtsman, engraver and print dealer. Together with Leonard Knyff, he made a speciality of engraved views of English country houses.

The engraving is in very good condition with slight soiling in the lower left corner. Reverse side blank.
