PASSENGER

Original British 10 inch x 8 inch Still of MARIA SCHNEIDER in the 1975 Michelangelo Antonioni Thriller THE PASSENGER (PROFESSIONE: REPORTER), story and screenplay by Mark Peploe.

Maria Schneider was the daughter of actor Daniel Gelin and a Rumanian-born Parisian bookstore keeper. She made her stage debut at 15 without the benefit of formal training and began playing secondary parts in films in 1971. The following year she was selected from among 100 candidates for the plum starring role opposite Marlon Brando in the highly controversial film “Last Tango in Paris”. In 1975, Schneider was cast opposite Jack Nicholson in the well-received Michelangelo Antonioni film “The Passenger”, which remains one of the highlights of her career, and was the personal favorite of the actress. She made several more films until her untimely death in 2011.

The still is in very good condition with a credit list tacked to the reverse.
