Original Victorian 12 3/4 inch x 9 1/2 inch steel engraving of POLITICAL OPPONENTS.
Engraved by William Ridgway. William Ridgway (1855 – 1885 fl.) was an English reproductive engraver who worked in steel. He was situated in London, but enjoyed a protracted stay in New York. His works were published in the Art Journal, which existed in order to promote art by distributing specially commissioned works by means of a lottery amongst its members.
After John Burr (1831/1835 – 1893). A Scottish oil and watercolour painter of genre scenes, portraits and landscapes.
Lettering below the title: From the picture in the possession of J. Carr Esq. Tiverton on Avon, near Bath.
