Original British 17 inch x 11 inch Double-Sided Trade Advertisement for the 1940 Albert S. Rogell Comedy PRIVATE AFFAIRS, based on the story “One of the Boston Bullertons” by Walter Greene and starring Nancy Kelly, Robert Cummings, Hugh Herbert, Roland Young, Montagu Love, G.P. Huntley, Jr., Dick Purcell, Jonathan Hale and and Mary Forbes.
Amos Bullerton, son of an old Boston family, has chosen for twenty years to remain a “black sheep” rather than submit to the dictation of his staid family. Jane Bullerton, his daughter, finds herself in the same quandary, ordered by her crotchety grandfather, Noble Bullerton, to marry a man she doesn’t love.
On the reverse is the 1940 Charles Lamont Comedy SANDY IS A LADY starring Baby Sandy, Tom Brown, Nan Grey, Mischa Auer, Eugene Pallette, Billy Gilbert and Edgar Kennedy.
Baby Sandy (born January 14, 1938), real name Sandra Lea Henville, is a former American child film actress. Henville was born, prematurely, in hospital in Los Angeles, California. She performed in her first film at the age of 15 months. She was considered “Universal Pictures’ wonder baby” and their answer to Shirley Temple. Her last film was before her fifth birthday, made for a second rank studio, Republic Pictures. She grew up and worked in the legal department of a local government. She married and divorced twice, and had two sons.
