Original British 17 inch x 22 inch double-sided Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1941 Sergei Nolbandov Ealing Studios War Movie SHIPS WITH WINGS, based on the novel by James Curtis and starring John Clements, Leslie Banks, Jane Baxter, Ann Todd, Basil Sydney, Edward Chapman, Michael Rennie, Hugh Williams, Frank Pettingell, Michael Wilding, Cecil Parker, John Stuart, Frank Cellier, Morland Graham, Charles Victor, Hugh Burden, Betty Marsden, George Merritt, John Laurie and Charles Stuart.

Stacey, a pilot in the Fleet Air Arm, is disgraced when he recklessly causes the death of a colleague. Later he is given the opportunity to redeem himself.

Born in London in 1902, Eric Fraser attended Walter Richard Sickert’s evening classes at Westminster School of Art and went on to Goldsmith’s College. From 1926 Fraser worked for the Radio Times and many other magazines, and designed posters for Shell, the GPO and the Ministry of Information. He produced murals for the British Empire Exhibitions in 1923 and 1938, and for the Origins of the People Pavilion at the Festival of Britain in 1951.

The Advertisement is in very good condition with one vertical centre fold.
