Original 1949 Danish 24 1/2 inch x 33 1/2 inch Poster for the 1941 Marcel Varnel Musical Comedy SOUTH AMERICAN GEORGE starring George Formby, Linden Travers, Enid Stamp-Taylor, Jacques Brown, Ronald Shiner, Felix Aylmer, Alf Goddard, Gus McNaughton and Beatrice Varley.

A press agent hurries to bring in a substitute after a South American opera star flops. A lookalike (Formby) takes over from the tenor, but chaos ensues when the bogus singer finds himself hunted by paid assassins.

The poster is in good to very good folded condition with a small faint stain to the right of the star’s shoulder, pinholes around the edges and a Danish “Statens Filmcensur” censor ink pad stamp in one corner.
