Original Belgian 11 3/8 inch x 14 inch Poster for the 1943 Leonid Varlamov Russian Wartime Documentary STALINGRAD.

The first documentary about the Battle of Stalingrad battle maps it’s entire course from beginning to end. It begins with a comprehensive view of Stalingrad in peacetime and the attack by Germans on August 19, 1942. The film used 15 frontline cameramen over a period of six months and material captured from German cameramen to be used in a German weekly newspaper. Scenes include General Yeremenko and Khrushchev, members of the political council in action, and the capture of the commander of the 6th Army, Field Marshal Friedrich Paulus.

The poster is in very good condition. It has been printed on the reverse of part of a map of Germany.
