Original British 11 inch x 17 inch Trade Advertisement for the 1963 Cliff Owen Comedy WRONG ARM OF THE LAW, written by Ray Galton & Alan Simpson and starring Peter Sellers, Lionel Jeffries, Bernard Cribbins, Davy Kaye, Nanette Newman, Bill Kerr, John Le Mesurier, Graham Stark, Irene Browne, Arthur Mullard, Tutte Lemkow, Michael Caine, Dick Emery, Mario Fabrizi, John Junkin, Dennis Price, Cardew Robinson, Harold Siddons, Michael Caine and Marianne Stone.

Sellers found one of his most rewarding British parts as a criminal mastermind in this delightful farce about bungling crooks in the London underworld.

Ad art by Harry Stevens (1919 – 2008). Harry Stevens was born in Manchester and with no formal art training started his design career in the exhibitions and display trade. He went on to become a prolific freelance commercial artist, specialising in poster design. He worked for a wide variety of clients and agencies and in 1963 won the Council of Industrial Design Poster Award. In 1955 he joined the Society of Industrial Artists and was elected Fellow ten years later. He was also a member of the Society of Modern Painters. He designed posters for London Transport 1960-1978.

The Advertisement is in very good condition with a vertical centre fold with 2 staple holes along it.
