Original 10 1/8 inch x 8 inch Portrait of KAY WALSH

Kathleen “Kay” Walsh (1911 – 2005) was an English actress and dancer. Her film career prospered after she met her future husband film director David Lean, with whom she worked on prestige productions such as “In Which We Serve” and “Great Expectations”. She also worked successfully with Alec Guinness particularly in her own favourite role as the barmaid Miss D. Coker in Ronald Neame’s 1958 film of “The Horse’s Mouth”.

The portrait, on doubleweight paper, is in very good condition with a fine line in the dark background.
