About
My name is Greg Edwards. I’ve been selling film posters and select ephemera full-time since 1976. I am the author of “The International Film Poster” published in 1985 and co-author of “The Worst Movie Posters of All Time” published in 1984.
My interest in film posters stemmed from the formation of the prizewinning Hertford Film Society in 1975 and producing artwork for the film producer Rene Dupont (Murder by Decree, Silver Dream Racer) based at Pinewood Studios. I produced my first illustrated film poster catalogue in 1976 under the banner of Classic Posters and Prints.
In 1980 I founded Flashbacks, based in the foyer of the old Scala Cinema in Tottenham Street, London, eventually moving to more prestigious premises in Dean Street in 1982. I went on to open shops in Birmingham and at the Filmhouse in Edinburgh, home of the Edinburgh Film Festival.
In the mid 1990s I moved back to London opening a gallery near Tower Bridge and began trading on eBay, where I now have well over 10,000 positive feedbacks.
