Original British 11 inch x 17 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1955 Henry Koster Biographical Drama A MAN CALLED PETER, based on the book by Catherine Marshall and starring Richard Todd, Jean Peters, Marjorie Rambeau, Jill Esmond and Les Tremayne.

The rise of Peter Marshall, from modest Scottish upbringing, to New York seminary, time in Atlanta churches, his marriage, appointment as chaplain of the US Senate, and early death at 46.

The advert artwork is by A. “Jock” W. Hinchliffe.
Hinchliffe was born in Perth, Scotland. In 1953 he had a studio in Chalk Farm, North London, where he produced a series of six oil paintings as publicity for 20th Century Fox’s “The Robe”. He had been engaged by Fox in 1926 and produced posters and ads continuously for them, and for Disney, well into the 1960s.

The Advertisement is in very good condition with one vertical centre fold and slight warping along it.
