Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1976 James Frawley Comedy THE BIG BUS starring Joseph Bologna, Stockard Channing, John Beck, Flora Robson, Rene Auberjonois, Ned Beatty, José Ferrer, Ruth Gordon, Larry Hagman, Sally Kellerman, Richard Mulligan and Lynn Redgrave.
All aboard the ultimately luxurious coach for this hilarious parody of 1970s disaster movies in which drivers Bologna and Beck and stewardess Channing crew the first nuclear-powered bus from New York to Denver.
The poster art is by Jack Davis (1924 – 2016). An American cartoonist and illustrator, known for his advertising art, magazine covers, film posters, record album art and numerous comic book stories. He was one of the founding cartoonists for Mad (an American humour magazine founded in 1952 by editor Harvey Kurtzman and publisher William Gaines) in 1952. His cartoon characters are characterized by extremely distorted anatomy, including big heads, skinny legs and large feet.
