Original U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1975 David Giler Comedy THE BLACK BIRD, based on characters created by Dashiell Hammett and starring George Segal as Sam Spade Jr., Stéphane Audran, Lionel Stander, Lee Patrick, Elisha Cook Jr. and Signe Hasso.
The son of famous detective Sam Spade carries on the family tradition of getting involved with the Maltese Falcon – and with the people who will stop at nothing, including murder, to get it.
Poster art by Drew Struzan. Struzan is an American artist, illustrator, and cover designer known for his more than 150 movie posters. He was born in Oregon in 1947 and in 1965 studied at the Art Centre College of Design, then in West Los Angeles, California.
The poster is in very good folded condition with some figures printed upside down in the bottom border and fine corner creasing.
