Original British 11 inch x 17 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly FOR the 1949 Frank Launder Romance THE BLUE LAGOON, based on the novel by Henry De Vere Stacpoole an starring Jean Simmons, Donald Houston, Noel Purcell, Cyril Cusack, James Hayter, Susan Stranks and Peter Jones.
In the Victorian period, two British children survive a shipwreck in the South Pacific. After days afloat, they are marooned on a lush tropical island in the company of a kindly old sailor. Together they survive solely on their resourcefulness and the bounty of their remote paradise.
