Original 9 1/2 inch x 7 1/2 inch Portrait of CAROL MARSH in the 1947 John Boulting Thriller BRIGHTON ROCK, based on the novel by Graham Greene.
”18 years-old Carol Marsh, now at the J. Arthur Rank Company of Youth, was advised by a famous society and theatrical photographer to take some portraits along to J. Arthur Rank’s casting office. She “barged in” to use her own words, and a test resulted in a small part followed by a contract. A former student of music and dramatic art, London girl Carol Marsh has now got her first important role of vher career in the Boulting Brothers production “Brighton Rock””.
The portrait is in very good condition with minor warping due to a synopsis tacked to the reverse.
