Original British 11 inch x 8 1/2 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1955 Guy Hamilton Prisoner-of-War Drama THE COLDITZ STORY, based on the novel by Pat Reid and starring Eric Portman, John Mills, Ian Carmichael, Lionel Jeffries, Bryan Forbes, Frederick Valk, Theodore Bikel, Christopher Rhodes, Richard Wattis, Anton Diffring, Denis Shaw and Eugene Deckers.
Allied prisoners – British, Dutch, French and Polish – pool their resources to plan numerous escapes from the “escape-proof” German P.O.W. camp housed in a Medieval castle known as “Colditz”.
