Original U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1978 Alan J. Pakula Western COMES A HORSEMAN starring James Caan, Jane Fonda, Jason Robards Jr., Mark Harmon, George Grizzard and Richard Farnsworth.
Ella Connors is a single woman who gets pressured to sell her failing cattle farm to her corrupt ex suitor, Jacob Ewing. She asks for help from her neighbor, Frank Athearn. As Ella and Frank fight back through stampedes, jealousy, betrayal, and sabotage, they eventually find love.
Poster art by Robert Edward McGinnis. McGinnis is an American artist and illustrator born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1926. McGinnis is known for his illustrations of more than 1,200 paperback book covers, and over 40 movie posters, including Breakfast at Tiffany’s (his first film poster assignment), Barbarella, and several James Bond and Matt Helm films.
The poster is in very good folded condition with a tiny stain and small inked numbers lower left.
