Original British 27 inch x 40 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1960 Charles Frend Drama CONE OF SILENCE, based on the novel by David Beaty and starring Peter Cushing, Bernard Lee, Charles Tingwell, Elizabeth Seal, George Sanders, André Morell, Gordon Jackson and Noel Willman.
The film is about the investigation into a series of crashes involving the fictional “Atlas Aviation Phoenix” jetliner (represented by the Avro Ashton WB493) and is loosely based on the 1952 crash in Rome and investigations into the structural integrity of the de Havilland Comet.
