CONVOY
£160.00
Original British 9 1/2 inch x 7 1/2 inch Still of CLIVE BROOK & ALLAN JEAYES in the 1940 Pen Tennyson Ealing Studios War Movie CONVOY.
Stiff-lipped sterling account of life at sea, in which Lieven’s German battleship menaces a British convoy coming back from Norway. Pen Tennyson had joined the navy as a lieutenant at the age of 23 and was about to take charge of the Admiralty’s Educational Film Unit. On 7 July 1941 he was flying from Shetland to the naval base at Rosyth in a small Fleet Air Arm plane when it crashed, killing all those on board.
The still is in very good condition with minor surface creases and minor surface marks.
