Original British 40 inch x 60 inch Poster for the 1990 Jean-Paul Rappeneau Drama CYRANO de BERGERAC, based on the novel by Edmond Rostand and starring Gerard Depardieu, Anne Brochet, Vincent Perez and Jacques Weber.
This was the turn that made Gérard Depardieu an international star, winning him the best actor award at Cannes and an Oscar nomination. He channels his ungainly charisma and mastery of pathos into the role of the poet/swashbuckler with the epic schnozz who writes the words that allow the dashing but verbally challenged Christian (Vincent Perez) to woo the lovely Roxane (Anne Brochet). Cyrano, of course, is in love with Roxane himself, but convinced that his mighty hooter will scupper his chances.
The poster is in very good unfolded (rolled) condition with a short tear.
