Original U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1975 John Schlesinger Drama THE DAY OF THE LOCUST, based on the novel by Nathanael West and starring Donald Sutherland, William Atherton, Karen Black, Burgess Meredith, Geraldine Page, Richard A. Dysart, Bo Hopkins, Pepe Serna, Lelia Goldoni, Billy Barty and Jackie Haley.
Set in Hollywood, California just prior to World War II, the film depicts the alienation and desperation of a disparate group of individuals whose dreams of success have failed to come true.
Poster art by David Edward Byrd (1930 – 1998). Born in 1941 in Cleveland, Tennessee, Byrd is an American graphic artist, designer, illustrator and painter known primarily for his poster designs.
The poster is in very good folded condition.
