Original Belgian 14 inch x 22 inch Poster for the 1959 Sergei Bondarchuk Russian Wartime Drama DESTINY OF A MAN (SUDBA CHELOVEKA) starring Sergei Bondarchuk, Pavel Boriskin, Zinaida Kiriyenko, Pavel Volkov and Yuri Averin.

Beautifully made tragedy about a Russian soldier (Bondarchuk) who escapes a Nazi prisoner-of-war camp then discovers that his whole family has died during the war. Harsh realism and the grim story make for hard viewing, but there’s lots of power and feeling in Bondarchuk’s directorial debut.
