Original British 27 inch x 40 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1977 Stuart Cooper Thriller THE DISAPPEARANCE, based on the novel “Echoes of Celandine” by Derek Marlowe, with a screenplay by Paul Mayersberg and starring Donald Sutherland, Francine Racette, David Hemmings, John Hurt, David Warner, Peter Bowles, Virginia McKenna and Christopher Plummer.
Thriller about a contract killer whose wife has disappeared. When he is hired by an international organisation to carry out a hit, he suspects they are connected with her disappearance.

Philip Castle was born in 1942 in Yorkshire and studied at the Royal College of Art. He is most widely known for his airbrush creations of the iconic posters for Stanley Kubrick’s Clockwork Orange and Full Metal Jacket, not to mention Ken Russell’s The Boyfriend, Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks and Jack Nicholson’s Goin’ South.
