Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1961 C.M. Pennington-Richards Comedy DOUBLE BUNK starring Ian Carmichael, Janette Scott, Sidney James, Liz Fraser, Dennis Price, Noel Purcell, Naunton Wayne, Reginald Beckwith, Irene Handl and Miles Malleson.

The poster art is by Harry Stevens

Harry Stevens was born in 1919 in Manchester. With no formal art training, Stevens started his design career in the exhibitions and display trade. He went on to become a prolific freelance commercial artist, specialising in poster design. He worked for a wide variety of clients and agencies and in 1963 won the Council of Industrial Design Poster Award. In 1955 he joined the Society of Industrial Artists and was elected Fellow ten years later. He was also a member of the Society of Modern Painters. He designed posters for London Transport 1960-1978.

When newly weds Jack and Peggy face eviction, they are tricked into buying a run down houseboat. After rebuilding the engine, they take their friends Sid and Sandra, on a local trip down the river to Folkestone, but somehow they end up in France, and with no fuel and supplies, they resort to desperate actions to get back home.

The poster is in very good folded condition with corner pinholes.
