ROBINSON & OTTO KRUGER in the 1940 William Dieterle Biographical Drama DR ERHLICH’S MAGIC BULLET, with an original screenplay by John Huston also starring Gale Sondergaard, Joseph Schildkraut, Gloria Holden, Donald Crisp, Erin O’Brien-Moore and Henry O’Neill.
Despite the fantasy-type title, this is a serious, intelligent and moving look at the inventor of the cure for syphilis, beautifully played by bearded Robinson.
