The print depicts the final chapter of the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion which was led by Charles Edward Stuart. The image shows the fatigue, hunger and despair of the wounded soldiers.
Signed in the plate.
Drawn and Etched by William Brasse Hole (1846 – 1917). A Scottish landscape etcher and painter.
