FASHIONS FOR WOMEN
£99.50
Original French 12 1/4 inch x 8 3/4 inch 8 Page Illustrated Pressbook for the 1927 Dorothy Arzner Comedy FASHIONS FOR WOMEN (FRIVOLITES), based on the play “The Girl of the Hour” by Gladys B. Unger and starring Esther Ralston, Raymond Hatton, Einar Hanson, Edward Martindel, and William Orlamond.
A delightful comedy starring Ralston in the dual role of an ageing society woman and the cigarette-girl who takes her place while she has a secret facelift.
This was Dorothy Arzner’s directorial debut.
Costume designed by Travis Banton (1894 – 1958). An American costume designer. He is perhaps best known for his long collaboration with actress Marlene Dietrich and director Josef von Sternberg. He is generally considered one of the most important Hollywood costume designers of the golden age.
The pressbook is in good to very good condition with some separation along the spine.
