GREAT ZIEGFELD
£79.50
Original 10 inch x 8 inch Black and White Still of FANNY BRICE arriving in California to play herself in the 1936 Robert Z. Leonard Musical Drama THE GREAT ZIEGFELD.
She was met by MAE CLARK an old friend of earlier show days.
The portrait is by Hollywood Photographer Bud Graybill.
Born Durward Burton Graybill on April 29, 1909 in Los Angeles, California, Graybill often worked as an uncredited still photographer on some great Hollywood films including: “Body and Soul,” “Arch of Triumph,” “Joan of Arc” and “Strangers on a Train.” His photographs show stars not only on the sets of films but also at premieres and lunchens. As a result he did many fine candid shots of the stars of the golden age.
The portrait, on doubleweight paper, is in very good condition with minor surface marks. Graybill’s stamp is on the reverse.
