Original British 10 inch by 8 inch Front-of-House Still (Lobby Card) of GITTA ALPAR & JOHN LODER in the 1936 Richard Pottier Drama GUILTY MELODY, based on a short story by Hans José Rehfisch.
In the film, a British spy falls in love with a singer whose husband is working for the enemy. It was made at Ealing Studios by the independent company Franco London Films. The film’s sets were designed by art director Holmes Paul.
The Still is in very good condition with slight upper corner creasing and minor surface marks. Watercolour paint has been added to the reverse so that the still would show up in colour when set in a light box.
