Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1971 Stephen Frears Thriller GUMSHOE, written by Neville Smith an starring Albert Finney, Billie Whitelaw, Frank Finlay, Fulton Mackay, Janice Rule, Carolyn Seymour, George Innes, George Silver, Wendy Richard, Maureen Lipman and Neville Smith.

Inspired by his love for Dashiell Hammett novels, nightclub comedian Eddie Ginley puts an ad in the paper as a private eye. The case he gets turns out to be a strange setup involving his brother and sister-in-law, and as he digs to the bottom of it his life starts falling apart.

This was Stephen Frears’ directorial debut.

The poster is in very good folded condition. There is a small ragged tear in the bottom half of the left vertical fold. There are tiny holes at the cross folds and minor wear along the bottom edge.
