Original British 11 inch x 8 3/8 inch Trade Advertisement for the 1945 John Baxter Musical Comedy HERE COMES THE SUN starring Bud Flanagan, Chesney Allen, Elsa Tee, Joss Ambler, Dick Francis, Gus McNaughton and Edie Martin.

A sports reporter’s adventures in clearing his name after having escaped from prison where he has been sent on evidence trumped up by an unscrupulous newspaper proprietor.

Ad art by F.H.K. Henrion (1914 – 1990) & Abram Games OBE, RDI (1914 – 1996). This image was used for their design of the quad poster which was printed but then never used. It was rejected by the circuit distributors on the grounds that it “would not appeal to the public – lacking in sex appeal”. With Abram Games, Henrion designed posters to help with the war effort. Although the two men had entirely different approaches to their work, Henrion used photomontage while Games favoured airbrush techniques, the two men became lifelong friends.

The Advertisement is in very good condition with minor colour imprinting.
