HIGH BRIGHT SUN

Original Belgian 13 7/8 inch x 21 1/4 inch Poster for the 1965 Ralph Thomas Adventure THE HIGH BRIGHT SUN, based on the novel by Ian Stuart Black and starring Dirk Bogarde, Susan Strasberg, George Chakiris, Denholm Elliott, Gregoire Aslan, Katherine Kath and Nigel Stock.

During Cyprus’ war of independence against Britain, Juno Kozani (Strasberg), an American archeology student visiting Cyprus, is caught between the two warring sides.

Poster art by Raymond ‘Ray’ Elseviers (1914 – 1999). Between the early 1960s and early 1980s Elseviers created around 225 film posters.

The poster is in very good folded condition with some staple holes in the blank top panel and a censor stamp in the lower right corner.
