Original 10 inch x 8 inch Still of FRANCHOT TONE, GRACE MOORE and director JOSEF VON STERNBERG on the set of his 1936 Romantic Musical THE KING STEPS OUT.
Story of the Emperor Franz Joseph (Tone) who is betrothed to a princess and falls in love with her sister (Moore).
Photo by Ray Jones. Jones began taking stills at Universal in 1922 and stayed there till 1933 when he moved to Fox to head their stills department and in 1934 took over the portrait gallery from Otto Dyar. After freelancing for a year he went back to Universal to head their portrait gallery.
The still is in very good condition.
