Born in 1912 Voinquel worked on over 150 films from 1930. Famous for his cinema portraits, he produced photographic work which has continued to influence contemporary photographers, from Robert Mapplethorpe to Herb Ritts.
Henri Chatelard is well into his forties, owns a restaurant and a cinema in the city, and likes women. When he meets the 18-ish headstrong Marie who has just lost her father in a small fishing village, it is not clear who is the hunter and who is the prey.
The still is in very good condition.
