Pick and starring Michael Caine, Omar Sharif, Florinda Bolkan, Nigel Davenport, Per Oscarsson, Arthur O’Connell,Madeline Hinde, Michael Gothard, Brian Blessed, Vladek Sheybal and Edward Underdown.

When a military captain threatens to ransack a town as yet untouched by the Thirty Years War, a quick-thinking peasant persuades him to call a truce with the townspeople instead.
