15 Original 10 1/4 inch x 13 1/4 inch Photos and 20 8 inch x 10 inch Photos in the original presskit folder for the 1968 Anthony Harvey Drama THE LION IN WINTER, based on the play and with a screenplay by James Goldman and starring Peter O’Toole as King Henry II, Katharine Hepburn as Eleanor of Aquitaine, Anthony Hopkins as Prince Richard, Nigel Terry as Prince John, John Castle as Prince Geoffrey, Jane Merrow as Princess Alais, Timothy Dalton as King Philip of France and Nigel Stock as William Marshall.

In the south of France, in the year 1183, Henry II (Peter O’Toole) summons his family to a Christmas conference.

His sons all have designs on his crown, whilst the presence of the King’s mistress (Jane Merrow) adds spice to his exchanges with his wife, Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine (Katharine Hepburn, who won an Oscar for her performance).

Photos by Bob Willoughby. Although his stamp is not on the reverse he was the credited stills photographer on this film and his name is listed as stills photographer in the British Souvenir program which features a photo from the same sequence.
